So
you want whip (er, roll) up some sushi. First, you’ll need
the right supplies. Here’s a list of basic stuff to have on
hand:
-
A sushi rolling kit. You can get these for less
than $5 at large chain grocery stores. They include a wooden rice-spreading
paddle and a bamboo rolling mat. It’s the mat that’s
most important.
-
Nori. This is the dried seaweed stuff that is
rolled inside or outside the sushi. It comes in sheets, and the
toasted variety tastes best.
-
Stuff to put inside or on sushi. Think cucumber,
avocado, and crab, etc.
-
Rice. Okay, this one’s a no-brainer.
- Adult
to help. Make sure they’re around when you’re
using a knife!
