YOU DON’T SAY!
by Julie Musil

  1. Children with disabilities, such as Autism, use and understand body language differently, or not at all.  Specialists are hopeful that this information could lead to therapy for these kids, helping them to empathize (understand and share feelings)  with others.

  2. Most of us blink at least six to ten times per minute, but up to 100 times per minute when we’re under stress.  If you’re reading or concentrating, you might blink as little as two to three times per minute.

  3. Females are more perceptive than males when it comes to reading body language.  It is said that this is where the term “Women’s Intuition” comes from.

  4. Just for fun: next time you’re at lunch, try decoding the messages being sent by the groups of kids at each table.  What does their body language say?
