Cindy Crawford
Most
of us have seen Cindy Crawford on the cover of magazines,
commercials, work out videos, and even in recent TV shows
like House Of Style on MTV. Although she has done some acting,
she's known as being one of the biggest models in the world.
But did you know that this super model was first recognized
by a photographer while she was working in a corn field in
her home town in Illinois at just 16? And it was that same
photographer that convinced her to take the summer off from
working on the farm to check out modeling?
Even though Cindy
pursued modeling and loved it, she focused on education, and
graduated tops in her class as valedictorian with a perfect 4.0! She
even won an academic scholarship and went on to Northwestern
University in Chicago to study chemical engineering. But after
only the first quarter she changed course and began modeling
and acting.
Cindy soon did some small local photo shoots and stage
work. But it was when she moved to New York, a year later,
where she got her big break and started posing for some of
the top magazines in the industry.
So, don't be camera
shy. Even Cindy admits she's not picture perfect.
In
Cindy’s Own Words
Cindy says she
has a lot of help make her look her best.
"Even I
don't wake up looking like Cindy Crawford," she says.
